Western River Campground
Details
Located 35 minutes via sealed and unsealed road to the nearest township of Parndana and 1 hour from Kingscote, this campground on the north western coast of the island offers a nearby secluded beach ideal for swimming and snorkelling and a river, surrounded by farmland and wildlife, including the endangered KI Glossy Black Cockatoo. The campground is not recommended for RVs and caravans due to the steep and winding unsealed roads to access the campground, but sites 1 to 5 provide sufficient maneuvering space for visitors who do choose to bring their off-road RVs and caravans. Basic amenities provided include toilet facilities, picnic shelters, bins and a BBQ shelter.
