Located in Finch Hatton 70km west of Mackay on the Mackay Eungella Rd. As you head into Finch Hatton at the start of the houses ...Look for the blue light pole with platypus painted on it, a PADI sticker above and a PADI flag at driveway entrance.
Cancellation Policy
Policy – Tours
Min 1 pax per tour max 6 pax per actual dive in water time more than 6 pax will be placed in 2nd group for actual dive time.
Prices do not change regardless if diver/s have their own equipment.
Signing of appropriate forms will be required on the day.
Certified divers must present their certification card.
Age requirement for diving 8+.
Weight requirements for Forest Flying 18kg min 120kg max.
Deals/packages and diving can be booked and purchased on same day availability dependent excluding Platypus Full Package.
Non-divers price is the same for Platypus Full Package with no night dive.
Non-divers cannot be booked for a night dive.
Return transfers from Mackay airport/motel available at $80 for all tours add/allow 1 hour each way. Romancing the Platypus tour family price is for 2 adults with 2 children 12 and under.
Forest Flying is for one pax at 2 turns and not transferable.
All accommodation is at Coral Cay Resort Mackay except where stated.
Personalized Private Platypus Tour is for min 1 pax Max 6 pax.
If Cape Hillsborough is added to full day Personalised Private Platypus tour to see the wallabies on the beach as an added inclusion to the tour then an additional $80 charge is required. Must be at Cape Hillsborough beach at sunrise for this experience. Cape Hillsborough on its own is cost is $180 per pax.
Block-out Dates:
No tour departures Christmas day and New Year’s Day. *note other days can be blocked out at the discretion of Rainforest Scuba.
Cancellation Policy:
No shows and reservations cancelled within 48 hours prior to departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours but less than 1 week prior to departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
No show and reservations cancelled on Platypus Full Package tour 1 week prior to arrival will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled more than 1 week but less than 2 weeks prior to arrival will incur a 50% cancellation fee. This tour is subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions at the discretion of the tour operator. Rainforest Scuba reserves the right to transfer guests to another tour where appropriate.
