Emu Bay Campground
Details
The Emu Bay campground is small with modest facilities, but location is everything when you’re looking towards one of Kangaroo Island’s most picturesque and best swimming beaches. Toilet facilities and sheltered picnic settings provide basic facilities for campers, but there are more facilities including BBQ shelters a mere 150 metres from the campground, as well as a nearby playground and seasonal food vendors. The Emu Bay boat ramp and jetty are also in walking distance and penguins can be heard at night, and resident dolphins frequently visible in the distance. This campground is only a 12 minute drive to Kingscote, Kangaroo Island’s main service town. The communal fire pit provides the perfect place for campers to gather under the stars, share stories, and enjoy the cooler evenings.
