In the centre of an old mining town in rural Tasmania you’ll find a bustling scene of Mountain Bike Riders, adventure seekers and nature lovers all coming to explore what is beautiful and unique about our town. If you’re on the search for the perfect place to stay during your journey in Derby look no further. Choose from our two bedroom Bank House B&B, a renovated 1888 heritage listed bank in the centre of town, or our modern and well equipped one bedroom Cabin (or you can book both if you have a larger group!).
Whether we are to be your launch pad or your bolthole we can’t wait for you to stay with us.
B&B
This old fashioned style Bed and Breakfast is designed with all the creature comforts of technology while maintaining a style of warm hospitality that you will remember long after your visit.
The finer details
•The Bank House sleeps up to four adults and includes 2 queen beds (four poster), Wifi, TV, fireplace, reverse cycle AC, record collection, wine glasses, water dispenser, board games.
•The bank house isn’t fully equipped with a kitchen. We do however have all tea and coffee facilities and a bar fridge for you to indulge in your ideal knock-off after a hard day on the trails. You can even put a record on and jam out to The Ramones or one of our many other records in our collection in front of the open wood fire.
•As a true B&B you can enjoy the perks of a fully cooked breakfast every day of your stay (if you choose to include it in your package).
•The house is not suitable for children under the age 14 years
•We have lockable bike storage for you with a tool kit (this fits 4 bikes with steady racks and electricity available if you have an E-bike)
•Check-in is from 1pm and check out by 10am thank you.
•We live in the downstairs section of the main house, but we respect the privacy of our guests and will leave you to your own devices unless you need a hand.
CABIN
Located at the rear of Derby Bank House this new Cabin has private access, private balcony and is fully insulated which is great for the Tasmanian climate.
The finer details
•The Cabin features one bedroom with 2 long single beds and open plan living.
•Enjoy a fully equiped kitchen including oven, induction cooktop and dishwasher. We can provide cooked breakfast at an additional charge of $15pp.
•The bathroom includes underfloor heating for those cold Tasmanian nights plus a shower and washing machine.
•Our private balcony features egg chairs looking out towards the large walnut tree which is covered in fairy lights.
•A mud room with steady racks is available for your mountain biking gear.
•Access to the property is available so you can drive right up to your door.
•Entry with key safe with check-in from 1pm and check out by 10am.
We request all checkin prior to 8pm. Hosts may sometimes not be available after 5pm.

Booking Terms and Conditions
To confirm your reservation we do require 100% upon booking.
The Guest shall not let more than the number of people on the confirmed booking request stay overnight. The Owner reserves the right to charge the Guest for any additional guests over and above that stated on the booking confirmation.
Derby Bank House is not suitable for infants or children under the age of 14.
Use of accomodation/grounds is for number of booked & paying guests
Items are supplies initially free of charge and for your convenience however replenishment during your stay is the responsibility of the guest.
No pets & no parties
Cancellation Policy
There is no refund for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.
No refund will be given if you cancel any part of your reservation during your stay.
These direct Terms and Conditions regarding cancellation policy does not stand when booking through an external booking agent the booking agents Terms and Conditions apply.
Your Agreement
By agreeing to pay the accommodation tariff you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. Providing the full payment confirms your reservation and will indicate that you agree to the above terms.
Guests staying in our holiday premises do so at their own risk. The owners incur no liability for any loss damage to property personal injury or illness. You agree further to indemnify and to keep indemnified the owners against liability to any person arising under or in right of you in respect of any loss or damage arising out of or in consequence of your participation in the use of the premises
